Presented by John Carswell of SLO’s Finest Catering
Join us for a cooking demonstration showcasing the fun, easy and tasty meals brought to you by SLO’s Finest Catering.  John will be making a organic mixed green salad with fresh berries, mangoes, strawberry vinaigrette and candied pecans.

Presented by Lead Chef & Food Service Manager Evan Vossler, of The Wellness Kitchen & Resource Center
Join Evan, as he takes you through two wonderful heart healthy recipes while sharing The Wellness Kitchen’s philosophy and “pro cooking tips” along the way.  He shows you how to cook Sweet Potato & Black Bean Chili with Avocado Cream. The Wellness Kitchen’s mission is to provide healing foods to those is critical need along with education resources and nourishing meals for individuals wanting to regain or sustain optimal health.

Presented by Miss Oddette, Owner of Miss Oddette’s Pop Up Creole Kitchen Catering
Join us as we discover the unique creole cooking and traditions that are passed down through generations of southern inspired cuisine. Hearty Dishes include but aren’t limited to gumbo, baked mac & cheese, and fried chicken & waffles.

Instant Pot Potato Corn Chowder
Presented by Andrea Chavez and Kathleen Snyder of Talley Farms Fresh Harvest
Join Talley Farms Fresh Harvest as they do a cooking demonstration showing all the amazing ways to use local fruits and veggies fresh from the farm! They will be demonstrating cooking in an Instant Pot and will be making a Potato Corn Chowder. Talley Farms Fresh Harvest will also share some basic Instant Pot recipe ideas along with “Tricks of the Trade” – helpful hints for cooking in the kitchen.

Taste Buds Best Chef Competition
Presented by Teri Bayus of Taste Buds TV Show

SLO County Best Chef Competition pits six of the area’s best chefs in a head-to-head live competition during the Inspired Home, Garden & Gourmet Expo of Paso Robles on Sunday, August 25th, 2019. Each Chef will create a dish using at least three items from the Talley Farms Fresh Harvest Box for the audience to taste and the professional judges to score to find out who is the Best Chef.

During the Expo, the chefs will give out bite-sized samples of their dish to be judged on taste, originality, use of products and presentation from the attendees. The celebrity judges will participate in the blind tasting and grade the dish. Chefs will plate items on the live stage being filmed for a Taste Buds episode. Attendees can sample and vote for the Best Chef People’s Choice at the Inspired Home Expo.

The winner receives a stunning trophy and will be announced as the Taste Buds Best Chef on a Taste Buds episode. The live demos will start at 11:30am and the winners will be announced Sunday at 3:30pm.
