Presented by Lead Chef & Food Service Manager Evan Vossler, of The Wellness Kitchen & Resource Center
Join Evan, as he takes you through two wonderful heart healthy recipes while sharing The Wellness Kitchen’s philosophy and “pro cooking tips” along the way.  He shows you how to cook Sweet Potato & Black Bean Chili with Avocado Cream. The Wellness Kitchen’s mission is to provide healing foods to those is critical need along with education resources and nourishing meals for individuals wanting to regain or sustain optimal health.

Seasonal Sliders: Featuring Foods from SLO County Farm Trail
Presented by Karen & Jennifer Tallent Joseph of The Groves on 41
We are going to be celebrating FARMstead ED’s new SLO County Farm Trail with a sneak peak at the farms along the trail and their seasonal offerings. Templeton Hills Beefs will be the star attraction along with Bren’s Seasoning, Talley Farms Fresh Harvest veggies, Stepladder Creamery cheeses, and of course The Groves on 41 olive oils. With everything in moderation, sliders are the perfect taste treat to serve at any gathering.  We will be serving these up California-style with full flavors, and fresh and seasonal foods! As always, these will be healthy and east to prepare.  Come by and join us!

A New Twist on Kale Salad!
Presented by Kathleen Snyder of Talley Farms Fresh Harvest
Kathleen Snyder will demonstrate a new twist on Kale Salad. She will adorn it with a mix of grains, seeds, vegetables, fruit and cheese.  It’s packed full of vitamins and antioxidants and is sure to make you fall in love with kale all over again or for the first time.

Taste Buds Best Chef Competition
Presented by Teri Bayus of Taste Buds TV Show

SLO County Best Chef Competition pits six of the area’s best chefs in a head-to-head live competition during the Inspired Home, Garden & Gourmet Expo of Paso Robles on Sunday, February 24th, 2019. Each Chef will create a dish using at least three items from the Talley Farms Fresh Harvest Box for the audience to taste and the professional judges to score to find out who is the Best Chef.

During the Expo, the chefs will give out bite-sized samples of their dish to be judged on taste, originality, use of products and presentation from the attendees. The celebrity judges will participate in the blind tasting and grade the dish. Chefs will plate items on the live stage being filmed for a Taste Buds episode. Attendees can sample and vote for the Best Chef People’s Choice at the Inspired Home Expo.

The winner receives a stunning trophy and will be announced as the Taste Buds Best Chef on a Taste Buds episode.
