As I mentioned in the last post, we recently moved offices, and I was very inspired to spruce my space up in various ways. I took my old drab corkboard and gave it a little pizzaz!
Old, ugly, plain corkboard. Items bought (all from the craft store)
Burlap (already had the Fleur de Lis pattern on it)
A wooden “K”
That’s it! It was really easy and simply to put together! I painted the “K” to match the bookshelf (and used the left over burlap to line the bookshelf top to tie it all together). I ironed out the burlap. Sprayed the adhesive spray on the corkboard, evenly placed the burlap on the corkboard and smoothed it out. I then wrapped the extra burlap around the sides and glued the excess to the back. I used the tack to pin all the way around the board to a “Stud” look. When the “K” was dry I sprayed it with the adhesive spray, and Ta-Da! Done!
